About the team, you are going to join

We in the Wysiwyg-Docugen team provide two of the core components of the BRYTER software: the Wysiwyg (What You See Is What You Get) rich text editor, which allows our customers to add and customize any content of their BRYTER solution. And Document Generation, which serves to auto-fill customer-specific templates, such as contracts or forms, and render them to digital documents, such as PDF, for the end-users.

We are looking for a mid/senior front-end engineer to support us. The focus is to not only improve the user experience when authoring documents but also enable new features while making sure the users of the BRYTER product can work smoothly and effectively.

What you will do

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»Work on improving and extending our Vue.js and TypeScript-based single-page apps.

πŸ“ƒ Enable users building BRYTER modules with rich-text content and document generation, to get real-time feedback on how their solutions perform.

πŸš€ Work closely with dev-ops and the quality assurance team to frequently deploy features and code improvements to production.

🎨 Decide and direct how content is created, formatted and translated, and making sure it works for all users, no matter the device or locale.

πŸ”¨ Keep the high-quality standard of our codebase by refactoring continuously, keeping tests green and upgrading our dependencies to the latest versions.

πŸ—Ί Help us define our long-term roadmap and shape our team and our way of working.

What we are looking for

πŸ‹οΈ You are proficient in at least one common JavaScript framework (e.g. Vue.js, React, Angular) and have experience with TypeScript or another strongly typed language, yet you see technology as a means to an end and are open to learning new tools as required.

🏒 You have worked on non-trivial frontend projects before. You understand the challenges of writing process- and interaction-heavy applications for power users and feel comfortable navigating and extending such a big system. You are curious about diving deep into a complex SaaS project and understanding both the challenges and the required rigor to maintain such a system.

✍️ You are familiar with vanilla JavaScript and async patterns (e.g callbacks, promises) as well as semantic HTML and CSS.

πŸ”¨ You put in the effort and rigor to keep a code-base in good shape, be it removing code that does not fit the requirements any longer, or adding a regression test for a quirky bug you encountered.

βœ… Writing automated tests is not a chore for you but a key component to building a high-quality product. You know how to write maintainable tests of all levels and you have experience with both functional as well as performance tests.

Tech stack & tools we're working with

Our main technologies are TypeScript and Vue.js. We're versioning, integrating, testing and deploying our code using GitLab. The application runs on a Kubernetes cluster, integrated with cloud-hosted services for databases, file storage and more.

We're using a Merge-Request workflow straight to our main branch and deploy to production at least twice a week. We are improving in this area and working towards a continuous deployment approach.
