June 12, 2025 – BRYTER, a leading provider of AI and automation solutions for legal professionals, has unveiled a global legal research package integrated into its AI-powered assistant, BEAMON. This new offering provides access to an extensive library of cases and regulations across 20 jurisdictions, including the US, UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and Canada.
The legal research package connects users to over 80 legal databases enabling access to laws, regulations and caselaw. The content is accessible when drafting documents through BRYTER’s Microsoft Word plug-in, through the AI Assistant and through BRYTER Workflows. This feature is available to all BEAMON customers immediately, empowering legal professionals to combine the efficiency gains of AI with the legal research they need as part of their daily work.
A new era of legal research
The addition of the global legal research package marks a significant step forward in BRYTER’s mission to transform how legal professionals work. Traditionally, legal research had to be done separately from the ultimate client work product (like drafting a memo), creating additional workload. By integrating legal content into BEAMON AI, legal research becomes part of core legal tasks like drafting, document management and reviewing contracts. Using BEAMON AI with the global legal research package, users can now:
- Access authoritative content: Research cases and regulations from multiple jurisdictions in one platform.
- Perform online research: Leverage connections to case law and statute databases.
- Deep drafts: In BEAMON Draft mode, users can access research sources directly in the AI assistant as well as Microsoft Word. This enables users to create advice and memos containing legal sources and reasoning.
- Diligence with legal intelligence: Using legal resources in BEAMON Extract, users can review documents at scale, using legal content as review criteria or to enhance extraction data with sources.
- Streamline workflows: You can connect to workflows to integrate research findings directly into automation processes.
This capability is designed to meet the needs of law firms and in-house legal teams operating across borders or handling complex multi-jurisdictional matters.
First integration of leading publishers
As part of this expansion of capabilities, BRYTER is the first European AI assistant to integrate content from leading publishers into its product offering, partnering with Dr. Otto Schmidt Verlag, one of Germany’s most respected legal publishers. This collaboration brings Otto Schmidt’s trusted legal resources—such as commentaries, journals, case law collections and templates—into the BEAMON platform. Otto Schmidt’s content focuses on key areas like tax law, corporate law, compliance, and labor law within Germany’s jurisdictional framework, and complements BRYTER’s broader global offering by providing unparalleled depth of legal research for German legal professionals.
