Careers at BRYTER

With BRYTER, we are building something radically new: a product with the potential to reshape entire industries. So, we put everything we were used to aside, and started building the best workplace from scratch. One that enables our team to grow rapidly and bring that change.

Working at BRYTER

At BRYTER we all come together to build a human-centered culture where everyone can contribute their best work and bring their whole self.

We trust each other to openly communicate our thoughts, make fast decisions and contribute to an environment that encourages others to do so. Our default-to-yes principle empowers everyone to be a leader and to take ownership.

We support you in your individual journey to grow. Not only by providing challenging work, people around you who you can learn from, but also through a personal conference and training budget.

We are team players and we believe in the power of cross-functional units. We make ownership and processes explicit in order to improve continuously. We have practices and rituals in place that help us reflect and improve continuously.

We began, and have grown, as a remote-first company. We did not just turn remote overnight. Our team is based in 16 different countries. You are free to work from home, or from one of our office hubs in NYC, London, Frankfurt, Berlin – or from anywhere.

Practices and rituals in a remote-first working culture

Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at BRYTER

At BRYTER, we have quite a few folks from different backgrounds. And while this is great, we are aware that we can and do need to do more when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion. We are actively working on improving how these core values of our company are implemented day-to-day. We especially welcome candidates from under-indexed groups. Please reach out to the team if you have any questions, we’re happy to share details and experiences.

How we hire

We hire people who are experts in their fields. But just as important, people who are a great fit to join our teams.

Reach out to us via one of our open positions. We look forward to hear from you on why you’re interested in working with us and what resonates with you. After reviewing your application the hiring team decides whether to invite you to an interview. No matter if that’s the case or not, we will will always get back to you with an update.

We start off the interviewing phase, by having a short video call where we get to know each other, and where we usually ask some simple questions, such as “How did you find out about BRYTER?” and “When are you available to join?”.

After this step, there are at least two interviews: one around more technical and skills experience, and another one about your non-technical experiences. Whilst in the former we’re interested to hear about the kind of work you’ve done previously, in the latter we talk about topics such as how you like to give and receive feedback or how you handle fussy projects.

Please keep in mind that, depending on the team and the position you apply to, the exact number and order of interviews can vary. At the same time, we will keep you updated about what comes next, throughout the entire interviewing phase.

As to be expected for a remote-first company, almost all of our interviews happen via video-call.

During all interviews and stages, you’re invited to ask questions and for any kind of further information.

The interviewing journey, as well as the decision, is a two way street. It’s about you making a decision to work for BRYTER and the team deciding they want to work with you. If both sides agree, your Hiring Manager will go through the individual offer letter with you and discuss it.
