BRYTER announces the appointment of Thomas Böckmann-Nalop as new Head of Legal

BRYTER, the no-code automation platform that enables legal professionals to build digital applications, announces that Thomas Böckmann-Nalop has joined the company as its new Head of Legal, to support the company’s growth and operations on a global level.

Based in Hamburg, Thomas joins BRYTER after 9 years of experience in the legal sector. Since 2017, he has worked as a lawyer in the Corporate / M&A team at Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft in their Hamburg office where he advised an international company on using legal tech solutions to handle thousands of individual lawsuits. He also worked in-house as legal counsel at Wirecard Bank AG and assisted in the winding down of the company as part of the insolvency of the parent company.

Thomas joins BRYTER as Head of Legal to lead on the management of the in-house legal department, external consultants and software and licensing globally.

Thomas is an experienced lawyer and a certified specialist lawyer in commercial and corporate law (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht).  He was admitted to the German Bar at the beginning of 2015. Having already focused on the economic analysis of law during his studies, he has constantly focused on making legal advice more efficient through the targeted use of legal tech during his practice as a lawyer. Over the course of his career, he initially focused on litigation proceedings and settlement negotiations and subsequently extended his expertise to all areas of corporate legal advice, in particular negotiating and drafting commercial and distribution agreements, sales contracts, general terms and conditions and service agreements as well as master service agreements, DPAs and NDAs.

Thomas takes on the role of Head of Legal from Konstantin Heilmann who leaves to build a dedicated legal platform for servicing start-up and scale-ups called paxa. Konstantin has served in the BRYTER Legal team since the beginning of 2020, supporting the market entry in the UK and the US, the global expansion and 2 major fundraises.
