At BRYTER, we’re building a human-centered culture where people can do their best work and bring their full selves to the table.

That’s why our hiring process is intentionally human. People, not algorithms, make decisions at every stage. And we genuinely want to get to know you, not the AI-polished version of you.

At the same time, BRYTER is a Legal AI company. We recognize that AI can be a helpful tool — one that makes applying to jobs more accessible and prepares candidates for success.

So, if you choose to use AI tools during our hiring process, here’s what’s okay and what’s not.

✅ What’s acceptable

  • Using AI to refine what you’ve already written. This includes asking AI questions like “based on this cover letter, what kind of impression do I give as a candidate?”
  • Using AI to correct formatting, spelling and/or grammar.
  • Using prompts that give mock interview questions to prep for your interview. These could be something like: “I am interviewing for a position as a Frontend Software Engineer. What are some questions that are typically asked in an interview?”. Its purpose is to allow you prepare your answers based on your experience — not to come up with experiences that aren’t your own.
  • Talking to the People Team if you require additional support during the hiring process.

❌ What’s not acceptable

  • Putting your confidential information into an AI system
  • Putting BRYTER’s information into an AI system
  • Using the AI to come up with scenarios as answers to interview questions that you will use as your own
  • Using AI to make things up in your resume or cover letter
  • Using AI prompts to write your cover letter for you
  • Using AI during an interview or screening
  • Using an AI avatar during your interview or screening

If there is any indication that AI is being used in an unacceptable way during an interview, or at any point in the hiring process, we will close the interview, and you will not move forward in our hiring process.

🫶 AI & reasonable adjustments

Before your interview, your recruiter or someone from our People team will check if you need any reasonable adjustments to support you.

If you’d like to use AI tools during your interview — such as note-taking apps — please let your recruiter know in advance so we can discuss how best to support you.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the people team at any point during the process. If you have questions or if there’s anything we can do to make your application process easier due to disability, neurodiversity, or any personal reason, email us at people_team@bryter.io
