Global Law Firm Clifford Chance Powers Second Innovation Academy with BRYTER

Following the success of the original Innovation Academy, global law firm Clifford Chance together with BRYTER have just completed the training of a second cohort of professionals on ideation, solution design, and prototyping.

Running from February to May, the program provided lawyers and other professionals across multiple practice areas with skills and experience to identify challenges and their solutions using design thinking and low-code development.

Innovation in action

Innovation is central to Clifford Chance’s culture and their commitment to clients means they are reshaping services around clients’ evolving needs. Last year, the firm launched its global Research and Development (R&D) hub, a function dedicated to discovering the future of legal services through research, education, collaboration, and development.

The R&D team, together with the firm’s global innovation lab, Create+65, is preparing lawyers and professionals to think differently about the delivery of legal services and helping to create services which continue to add value beyond our legal expertise. One of the ways they are doing that is through the Innovation Academy training program which is delivered together with BRYTER no-code platform.

Building on BRYTER

The BRYTER no-code app builder empowers law firms to develop and deploy self-service apps and significantly reduces development efforts for building prototypes as part of the client conversation. With its intuitive interface, the platform allows users to easily understand automation principles and create apps that instantly demonstrate value.

BRYTER provides us with a platform that allows our people to experience no-code automation as part of their skills development.

April Brousseau, Director of Research & Development at Clifford Chance

BRYTER-built tools to help law firms meet the growing client demand for technology-enabled solutions that automate standardizable aspects of legal services. BRYTER enables customers to efficiently serve their clients with bespoke build, market-leading digital products.

Sam Spivack, Managing Director of Legal Partnerships at BRYTER, says: “We very much enjoyed working collaboratively with Clifford Chance on this round of the Innovation Academy, and introducing more of their lawyers to solution design using no-code automation. Core to the success of these Academies has been, first, the focus on the client problems, and then the intuitiveness of BRYTER comes in, empowering their lawyers to develop prototypes addressing these problems.”

April Brousseau, Director of Research & Development at Clifford Chance, says: “Innovation in the delivery of legal services is a core priority for Clifford Chance and one of the ways we invest in that is by providing our lawyers and professionals with solution design and development skills that complement their legal and other professional expertise. BRYTER provides us with a platform that allows our people to experience no-code automation as part of their skills development.”

Joanne Chuang, Create+65 Innovation Lead at Clifford Chance, says: “We receive great feedback from the lawyers and professionals who engage in our Innovation Academy about the ways in which the program influences their approach to problem solving. We are consistently impressed by the quality of prototypes they build using the BRYTER platform.”
