We are happy to announce the appointment of Johannes Maurer as Head of Business Development EU, effective immediately.

Johannes joined us in June 2019 already and has now been appointed as Head of Business Development for the EU region. In his new role, Johannes will be responsible – together with a team of lawyers and technologists – for providing, developing and managing sophisticated and ready-to-use templates, products and use cases that can be integrated and implemented immediately. This allows the BRYTER customer base to build and customize BRYTER Modules and self-service apps with our no-code app builder even more quickly and to jump start their digital projects with out-of-the-box solutions, processes and workflows.

Johannes has several years of experience in the legal sector, working with national and international clients on various financial and banking matters. Before BRYTER, Johannes was an Associate with the International Debt Capital Markets Team at Hogan Lovells in Frankfurt, where he advised on national and international transactions. He was a member of the innovation and technology team at Hogan Lovells, contributing to the digital strategy of Hogan Lovells in Europe.

Besides being a banking lawyer, Johannes is a renowned expert in the Legal Tech landscape and a full stack coder: Together with Tianyu Yuan he launched the Legal Tech Startup LEX superior, a content provider and research platform for legal acts and decision. He is also one of the few lawyers with several years of coding experience, which gives him a unique skillset for the Legal Tech market.

Michael Grupp, CEO of BRYTER, commented: “Johannes is a sharp and business-minded lawyer that learned the ropes at a top firm. In addition, he has a deep understanding of digital business models and technology – combined with a full stack coding skillset. He has the agility of a coder and the gravitas of a business lawyer – perfect combination for this strategic appointment.” He added: “Building the new team of Business Development comes at an exciting time in BRYTER’s overall development. We are going to focus on specific verticals and on content for the BRYTER Platform to accelerate our growth in the financial and regulatory field. We are delighted that Johannes has chosen to further his career with us in this key role.”

To date, the BRYTER team consists of 45 employees in Europe. If you are also looking to join our team, browse our fully remote job opportunities and apply today.
