Global Legal Hackathon Names BRYTER as Official No-Code Tech Partner

BRYTER and Global Legal Hackathon

On March 25 to 27, thousands of participants across the globe will come together to rapidly build digital solutions using BRYTER to solve legal challenges — most urgently those arising out of the crisis in Ukraine.

Global Legal Hackathon is the largest legal innovation event in the world. In collaboration with the European Legal Technology Association (ELTA) and Global Legal Hackathon, BRYTER will support law firms, corporate legal departments, students and NGOs to develop solutions for the urgent humanitarian, economic, and legal challenges resulting from the crisis in Ukraine. Participants will also use BRYTER to build solutions for ESG and Business of Law needs.

BRYTER was founded in 2018 by Michael Grupp, Micha-Manuel Bues, and Michael Hübl who saw the need for an easy-to-use no-code automation platform in their previous roles as lawyers and entrepreneurs. While most experts have some digital tools at their disposal to automate repetitive and tedious tasks, some of the most valuable and impactful professionals in companies are left out.

BRYTER enables legal and compliance teams to make their knowledge available digitally by building custom apps that they own themselves — without the need for programming skills or IT support. Interactive workflows created on BRYTER collect the relevant information, process it intelligently, and provide the answers, decisions, and documents that individuals and business partners need.

Originally coming from the legal world and dubbed “Lego for Lawyers,” BRYTER has become an end-to-end automation platform for all business professionals to build powerful enterprise applications. What really sets BRYTER apart is its ease-of-use by those with a limited tech background, and how quickly subject matter experts can get their solutions built, published, and benefiting their organization.

BRYTER makes its platform available for free to non-profits through its tech for good program, BRYTER Open, and partners with universities and legal technology groups, including the University of Manchester and ELTA, as part of BRYTER Academy, offering an industry-recognized certification program.

Michael Grupp, Co-Founder and CEO of BRYTER said, “Our mission at BRYTER is to enable experts to make their knowledge available at scale. We are proud to support the Global Legal Hackathon in empowering the legal community globally with the tools to think creatively and deliver digitally to help solve some of the world’s most urgent legal and business problems.”

Kearra Markowich, executive director of the Global Legal Hackathon said, “We are delighted that BRYTER is supporting GLH this year. We have received consistent feedback from participants on the need for genuinely easy-to-use software to enable them to rapidly build solutions. BRYTER was the obvious choice, given its reputation for being so intuitive and easy to use. We are looking forward to seeing what can be achieved in just one weekend when the legal community comes together.

Starting on Friday evening, March 25, and continuing until Sunday evening, teams will be able to use their own programming skills and/or the range of tools made available to them to create a first version of their solution. Their toolset will include no-code automation for faster prototyping as they work to develop new digital solutions for “business of law” and “access to justice” problems. Selected winners in their respective cities will progress to the global semi-finals. Finalists will then be invited to the Global Legal Hackathon Final Round and Gala (COVID regulations permitting) to take place later in 2022.
